The ingredient that makes the difference
Ottofile corn takes its name from the eight rows of kernels that make up the cob. Also known as the “king’s meliga” — as it was appreciated by Vittorio Emanuele II — it is distinguished by its heart-shaped, flat, smooth, and shiny kernels, yellow-orange in color with a characteristic black dot at the attachment point to the white cob. A precious variety, with a late harvest and modest yield, yet capable of giving the flour an intense aroma and an extraordinarily sweet taste. An authentic dessert that brings to the table the history and excellence of the Piedmontese rural tradition.
Ingredients: stone-ground Ottofile corn flour 23%, soft WHEAT flour type 00, sugar, BUTTER, EGGS, egg yolk, raising agent: disodium diphosphate and sodium bicarbonate, vanilla extract. Cereals containing GLUTEN (WHEAT), MILK, EGGS. May contain traces of nuts, soya and sesame.
