The ingredient that makes the difference
Ottofile corn takes its name from the eight rows of kernels that make up the cob. Also known as the “king’s meliga” — as it was favored by Victor Emmanuel II — it is distinguished by its heart-shaped, flat, smooth, and shiny kernels, yellow-orange in color with a small black dot at the point of attachment to the white cob. A precious variety, late-harvested and with modest yield, yet capable of giving the flour an intense aroma and an extraordinarily authentic taste. A dessert that tells the story and excellence of the Piedmontese rural tradition, enriched by the elegant note of dark chocolate.
Ingredients: biscuit 59%: stone-ground Ottofile corn flour 27%, soft WHEAT flour type “00”, BUTTER, sugar, EGG yolk, EGGS, raising agent: disodium diphosphate and sodium bicarbonate, vanilla extract. Dark chocolate coating (min. cocoa 60%) 41%: cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, emulsifier: SOY lecithin. May contain traces of nuts, soya and sesame.
